How To Check In:
Upon arrival, please follow the signs for check in. Preschool, Mini and Junior dancers must be accompanied by a parent at check in. Teens may check themselves in.
Dancers will be checked in right at the backstage dressing room door.
Each dancer will be brought right to their class chaperone.
__
Important Check In Reminders:
PARENTS: No parents are allowed backstage except for performing parents and parent chaperones.
BATHROOM: Of course, if dancers needs to use the bathroom backstage, they may. However, please have your child (specifically preschool + mini dancers) use the bathroom before dropping them off on rehearsal day & show day. It becomes difficult and time consuming to take lots of dancers to the restroom backstage. This may cause a delay.
ATTIRE: There will be no getting ready at the theater. All performers (dancers & performing parents) should arrive “stage ready” in full costume, hair and makeup.
WHAT (& WHAT NOT) TO BRING: Dancers may not bring anything else with them backstage except for a LABELED water bottle. No food, bags, clothes, toys, etc. Only dancers with 2+ costumes will be allowed to bring any additional costume(s) and shoes in a LABELED garment bag.
ATTIRE: Dancers should not be dropped off wearing anything that’s not costume related. No extra undergarments, jackets, clothes, accessories, street shoes, etc). Refer to your Costume Guide for what your dancer should be wearing.
SAFETY: Please be assured that we have chaperones and teachers with your children the entire time they are with us. No child is ever left unattended.
CONTACT US: If you need to contact us, please text our studio number (925) 304-3999 for the fastest response.

How To Check Out:
On show day, all dancers stay backstage for the duration of the entire show. Each class will be dismissed right from the stage at the very end after finale and bows.
We will dismiss one class at a time. Please remain seated until you hear your dancer’s class called.
Please have one parent come down to the front of the stage to retrieve your dancer from their chaperone.
__
Important Check Out Reminders:
Be Patient + Check Out Properly: Please do not crowd the front of the stage at pick up or take your child and leave without acknowledging their chaperone. Our students’ safety is our top priority and your cooperation is much appreciated! Each child must be accounted for.
Preschool, Mini & Junior Dancers: Must be picked up by a parent.
Teens: May check themselves out with the stage manager.

Arrive stage ready
See details below
-
All dancers must arrive in full costume and should have their dance shoes on before they're checked in.
There will be no changing at the venue.
Undergarments: We recommend dancers wear tan / nude tights under their costume. No pink tights. No visible undergarments.
If your dancer is in multiple classes: Please have them arrive in their 1st costume and bring their other costume(s) and shoes with them in their labeled garment bag. These dancers can change in the backstage bathrooms. Any young dancers needing assistance will be offered help from our parent volunteers.
No costumes changes involve undressing.
-
Hair should be as neat and clean as possible. This is a special day, so we ask that you help your dancer look their best! Hair should be up, sleep and off the face with NO flyaways. Flyaways are very visible on stage in the bright lights.
We recommend using gel, hairspray and bobby pins so that all dancers have a neat and uniform look on stage! If you have a hairpiece that comes with your costume, please also make sure it is very secure to your dancers head so that it does not fall off during their performance! There are no specific hair assignments by class. If your dancer’s hair is longer than ear length, please have them wear one of the following:
a bun or 2 buns
ponytail or pigtails
french braids
NO headbands or hair accessories aside from any hair pieces that come with your costume.
-
Makeup is optional, but highly encouraged and recommended. The lights on stage are very bright and dancers who choose to not wear makeup, may look washed out. We want their fabulous faces and features to shine and stand out on the big stage!
